8th-Grader Selected for State Chorus

Posted: 2/20/2019

Eighth-grader Issac Olguin has been selected as a member of the GISA All-Select Chorus, a statewide recognition for the best student vocalists in the state of Georgia. In spite of his youth, Issac was appointed to the high school tier of the chorus.

The ensemble performed a concert the first weekend in February at Oglethorpe University, with guest clinician Dr. Tim Powell, a senior lecturer in music at Oglethorpe. Class of 2018 alum Donovan Lewis, who matriculated to Oglethorpe, came out to support Isaac.

Issac is also a member of the Georgia Boys Choir, and will perform with them on their Italian tour this June.
