HSP Men's Club!

Dear Men of HSP,

The HSP Men’s Group (formerly Dad’s Club) is back for the 2021-2022 school year with an exciting new school year-long topic - Discovering the Catholic Faith in Modern Movies.

Starting in September, join us for biweekly movie nights to delve into the theology of Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Batman trilogy, Inception, and Interstellar. Over the 2021-2022 school year, we will explore the hidden (and obvious) Scriptural and Catholic symbolism embedded in these modern works of “sacred art”, and deepen our understanding of the Bible and the Catholic faith. Our hope is to evolve this effort into an elective offering for our high school students - we need YOUR participation and feedback to make it the best that it can be!

Participation is FREE to all men of HSP - dads, grandparents, alumni, and male faculty and staff. So grab your Bible, grab some popcorn, deepen your faith, and enjoy the phenomenal filmmaking genius of Christopher Nolan.

There will be a 10-minute presentation about the course at our HSP Men’s kickoff social at Local Three (3290 Northside Pkwy) on Thursday, August 12th, from 5:00pm - 7:30pm. All HSP men are invited for the social event whether you plan to join us for the course or not.

The course venue will likely be Malta Hall in the Holy Spirit Church building (next to the Upper School).

Summer Office Hours - Campus Closed July 5-9

The Front Office at the Lower School and Upper School are open daily from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm during the summer.

Please note that our offices will be closed July 5 to 9 and will reopen on July 12.

Middle School Building Improvement Project

Last night we hosted an informal Q&A session to share more detailed insight about the Middle School Building project. It was a great session and we appreciate the questions and interest from those who were able to join us.

An anonymous donor has given $100,000 toward the project and an additional $500,000 to match other donations.
- This is the basis for our funding campaign - raise $500,000 to be matched!
All funds donated to the Middle School Building project will be used for the Middle School Building - if (WHEN) we exceed the $500,000 goal, additional funds will go to more improvements IN THIS BUILDING.

The work is scheduled to be done by the end of July - students will enjoy this new space THIS YEAR!

The new Band Room as well as other musical and fine arts rooms will be in the Middle School Building - many students of all grade levels will have opportunities to use this new space - especially the band!

Improvements to the building include (but are not limited to):
- Stucco on the outside walls to improve the look of the building (will match the look of the cafeteria) and to eliminate/reduce the water wicking through the block façade.
- Removal of the balcony to improve aesthetics and eliminate leaking occurring at the joining points
- HVAC replacement including air scrubbers and humidifiers - new units also improve efficiency.
- Classroom design - overhead projectors in classrooms, consistent layout and desks.
- Painting, flooring, and design inside - oak wainscoting will look similar to the US building lobby design.
