Celebrating a Glowing Homecoming

Posted: 10/24/2019

We had so much fun showing our c-pride last week in honor of Homecoming. What a week it was of festivities and community!

Highlights of Homecoming week include:

  • Twin and Triplets Day on Monday (congrats Mary Anna and Kira)
  • Nicaea’s cookout on the quad (special thanks to Mrs. Riley for being the grill master)
  • The 9th graders won the hallway decoration challenge with the Rainbow Road theme from Mario Kart
  • Thursday brought a red, white, and blue America Day with Captain Jack bringing home the outfit contest
  • Friday was our Neon-themed shirt day with pep rallies happening across the campuses

Homecoming Game
The tailgate prior to kickoff was bustling with families, food, and fun. Despite the chilly weather, the stands were packed with parents, students, and faculty all coming together to cheer on our varsity football team. Thank you to everyone who celebrated Homecoming with us!

After a day of pep rallies at each campus, the varsity football team was pumped up for their Homecoming game. Crisp Academy proved to be a tough competitor, but we stuck with them almost all the way through the first half. The score was tied 8-8 with minutes left in the half when Crisp snuck in two touchdowns. The boys fought and fought in the second half, but unfortunately fell to Crisp 15-34.

During halftime, the little cougar, middle school, and varsity cheerleaders performed a routine together to pump up the crowd. Following the performance, we announced our Homecoming King and Queen. Congratulations Manny and Olivia!
