11th-Grader Gabi Wins Law Scholarship

Congratulations to 11th-grader Gabi, who was recognized last week as a winner of the 2016 “Future Leaders of America” scholarship, sponsored by the Fulton County Law Week Committee.

Gabi will receive round trip airfare, tuition, room and board, and transportation in and around Washington to attend the Washington Workshops’ Congressional Seminar studying national politics and government this summer. Gabi will meet with Members of Congress, government officials, diplomats, lobbyists, and professors. Students will also visit the historical and iconic highlights of our nation’s capital.

According to the seminar's organizers, the Workshop Foundation, the program "seeks to increase citizen participation in the electoral process while increasing students’ knowledge of contemporary events through informative, on site dialogue sessions with leaders from both the federal government and private sectors. To constantly seek out new information, to become involved and to find new answers are the timeless missions of youth and the goals of the Washington Workshops Foundation."

Gabi was recognized in a ceremony at the Fulton County Government Center.
