Upcoming Games

At Holy Spirit Prep, we consider sports to be an integral part of the mission of the school and the formation of our young men and women. Participation on a team teaches students the value of cooperation, sacrifice and sportsmanship and provides opportunities for the development and exercise of leadership skills. We strive for excellence in every sport, and often achieve it, and we teach our athletes to be magnanimous and charitable in victory. In parallel, when our athletes are not victorious, we impart to them that one of the true benefits of participating is in the effort and the journey, and that losing gracefully builds the kind of character that will serve them for the rest of their lives.

We currently offer opportunities for our students to participate in numerous varsity, junior varsity, middle school, and/or Lower School sports, including football, baseball, cross country, volleyball, basketball, swimming, soccer, golf, tennis, track and field, and cheerleading. We have offered other sports in the past and are always open to considering a renewal of those opportunities, or the addition of others, if we have sufficient interest and participation. Holy Spirit Prep teams and students have achieved great success over the years, from state championships in football, tennis, and cross country, to numerous region championships in virtually every sport. In addition, Holy Spirit Prep students have gone on to play a variety of sports in college, an accomplishment of which we are very proud.

Yet, as proud as we are of these accomplishments, we are even more proud of the fact that the size of Holy Spirit Prep allows each and every student, from the novice to the superstar, to participate meaningfully in athletics. Athletes can play on more than one team at Holy Spirit Prep, unlike at many other, larger schools, where a year-round commitment to one sport is often required.

We also have a dedicated parent community that supports the teams through an annual Poker Night and other activities. In addition, Holy Spirit Prep has used its programs to support local charities, most notably through the "Pink Games" put on by our varsity girls basketball and soccer teams, which have raised thousands of dollars for St. Joseph's Mercy Care.

Holy Spirit Prep competes in the Georgia Independent School Association in class AAA, region 1.
