Financial Assistance

Providing financial assistance is an important element of Holy Spirit Preparatory School’s mission as we strive to promote social and economic diversity within our school community. As an independent Catholic school, Holy Spirit Prep does not have access to tuition assistance funding from the Archdiocese of Atlanta and meets tuition assistance needs from donations and our operating income. As stewards of the finite pool of monies made available for tuition assistance, HSP has to ensure that assistance is targeted to the families with the greatest need.

How to Apply

Required Documents
All applicants for need-based financial aid and GOAL Scholarships at HSP are required to file a Parent’s Financial Statement (PFS) with the School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS).

All new admission applicants who request financial assistance are required to submit the Parish Verification Form.

About the School and Student Service (SSS)
The SSS operates as a central system for computing parental financial needs. SSS processes the information that families have provided regarding income, assets, debts, and equity and forwards to our school a Report of Family Contribution (RFC), which we use as a guideline for aid awards. In addition, a complete copy of the parents’ 2015 & 2016 current tax return needs to be uploaded to the SSS secure website; this return must be on file with SSS before the student can be considered for financial aid by the Financial Aid Committee.

Multi-Household Families
When the parents of a financial aid applicant are divorced, separated, or have never been married, HSP requires that each parent submit a PFS and 2016 and 2017 federal tax returns. Please note, each parent must use their current total household income and assets, including those of a current spouse, if applicable.
