Preschool Director

The Preschool Director at Holy Spirit Preparatory School is responsible for fostering a positive and faith-filled growth experience for every child in the School’s Preschool campus. The Director provides the day-to-day management, evaluation, and supervision of faculty and staff to ensure effective and clear procedures for the operation of the Preschool, which are consistent with the philosophy, mission, values, and goals of the School at-large. The Preschool currently includes a Mother’s Morning-Out module for children starting at six months to a curriculum-centered program for children two to four years of age. The Director is a 12-month, full-time position, responsible to the School’s Lower School Principal.

The School is seeking a loving, collaborative Director to lead and grow its Preschool campus. Essential responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic direction and continuous quality management for the Preschool as it continues to grow and develop;
  • Recruiting, training and developing quality childcare and preschool teachers;
  • Directing and overseeing of the operations of the Preschool;
  • Marketing the MMO and the Preschool programs to the local community, including Holy Spirit Catholic Church; and,
  • Maintaining compliance with applicable licensing and accreditation requirements.

A successful candidate will possess the following background and competencies:

  • Practicing Catholic in full communion with the Roman Catholic Church
  • Strong academic credentials in Early Childhood Education (minimum of a Bachelor’s degree) and associated classroom experience
  • A love of children and a desire to create a warm and stimulating environment that encourages a love of learning
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively and positively with children, parents, faculty and our school community
  • A clear vision of the next steps for Holy Spirit Prep’s Preschool with the ability to lead a cohesive team to the next level of growth
  • Proven ability to attract and train quality childcare teachers
  • Ability to build strong relationships with students and families through attendance at school events
  • Ability to work closely with faculty and staff to support and facilitate their commitment to educating students and growing professionally, while delegating appropriately and ensuring accountability
  • Ability to present educational information effectively
  • Ability to attend to detail

Preschool Teacher

Holy Spirit Preparatory School seeks applicants for part-time Preschool faculty for the 2018-2019 academic year.

  • Ability to monitor student progress and implement student assessments
  • Ability to use technology to enhance lessons where appropriate

Qualified candidates will be practicing Catholics in full communion with the Church and have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree.
